There's something about a food that moves all by itself that gives me the heebie-jeebies.

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Provided that ever happens.

Art Crawl!!!

Hey, timeline stuff for Harry Potter. (I don't know why I think this is important - but apparently I do and need reassurance that I have it right.)

50-some years prior to HP - Hagrid and Tom M. Riddle were at Hogwarts.

Almost 50 years prior to HP - Eileen Prince was at Hogwarts.

At least 10 years after that - Snape, J. Potter, Lily, Remus and Sirius were at Hogwarts.

Is that right?

Because books.

Oooh! While we're asking HP questions, someone remind me what a squib is?

I have to admit that the most exciting thing about my day was signing up for HP7 at my new local bookstore.

Because books.

Thanks, sumi. I'm bad with facts, so I'm going to let someone with a better memory than mine answer your questions.

Yay, megan!

I don't know how many Chicagoistas spend their time downtown, but I have found my new favorite used book store: After Words on Illinois. New & used books upstairs, a giant basement of used books downstairs, and a store cat.
