I can recommend Swordheart and the two Paladin books by Kingfisher. Also the Clockwork Boys and its associated sequel/prequel (which I'm drawing a blank on the title).

I think that actually made me just go ahead and read everything by T Kingfisher was The Seventh Bride. No duds, IMO
I read her horror novel, The Twisted Ones ... which totally creeped me out. It was definitely a "do not read at night" book for me.
