Buffy ,'The Killer In Me'

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

Now tagless for your comfort.

If any romance reading buffistas would like a t-shirt, I have a couple of the Ripped Bodice Fundraiser tees to give away (I ordered an extra one, they sent the wrong one, and then they sent the right one, so, extra tees!) I have a m/m and a f/f, soft grey short sleeved tee. Claim them and PM me and I will send them to you at no expense.

Examples are here [link]

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

"Mayor for Today" in the January Asimov's is good stuff. This Wilde writer is worth following...

Hee! I got very tense partway through, not seeing how the thing could be resolved. Very satisfying!

I know we've convinced a lot of people to try River of Teeth.

I did a book talk on it! [link]

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I came across this and thought it summed up reading pretty well.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Toddson, I absolutely love that.

Ann, that's a ferret.

I need some reassurance from the Hive Mind.

At the animal shelter where I volunteer, a cat named Arthur Dent recently arrived. (Very friendly guy. If you’re in the DC area and looking to adopt a cat, I recommend checking him out at FOHA.org.) I’ve already had to explain Hitchhiker’s Guide to 2 other volunteers that didn’t understand why I found the name amusing.

Are they crazy, or am I?

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

[cap] I get that reference! [/cap]Aw, that's a sweet name. I hope Arthur finds a forever home soon.
