I'm fairly certain I said no interruptions.

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

I saw this the other day! Listening to audiobooks has always felt like reading to me, in part because I "hear" the books in my head when I'm reading, often to the point that I feel compelled to read out loud to match the way my brain is interpreting tone/voice/etc. So this was on point for my experience.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I "hear" in my head when I'm reading but I have a much harder time concentrating on audiobooks. I have to rewind a lot or resign myself to not getting it all (which sometimes happen when I'm reading but less often)

Speaking of, I am currently listening to DXM's niece's book and it is holding my attention but did not make getting to sleep last night any easier!

You've got friends to have good times with. When you need to share the trauma of a badly-written book with someone, that's when you go to family.

Jennifer Ehle is reading Pride and Prejudice as a series of livestreams.

You're welcome.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

She does good creep.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Spoilery question for those who have read Tana French's Into the Woods did Rob's friends just disappear or were their bodies found? I can't remember, and I'm watching the TV adaption.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

I believe they just disappeared, but I can't recall for certain. Is the TV show any good?

Thanks, Kate. That is how it is in the TV show too, The TV show is interesting. They've changed a few things, and they've combined the first two books into one season. Which is a bit weird. Also they made Mackie more of an asshole than he is in the books, which is too bad because I like him in the books. We're on episode 3 of 8.
