I just finished Philosophers War , the sequel to late year's Philosopher's Flight.
Very interesting AU historical fantasy novels. Some plot points are feeling a little wrong (or overly convenient), and the romance is pretty boring, but my overall feeling is definitely positive. The second one is darker and more epic, but maybe I liked the first one a little more? Still sussing out my feelings.
I just finished Ninth House. I take it there will be a sequel/series? I will say I had less patience with it than I might've used to, given that "spoiled scions of wealthy families not understanding or caring how what they do affects others" just feels too present lately.
Ten Thousand Doors of January was delightful! I'm so glad I read it on all y'all's rec! Did you know that erinaceous's sister repped the book? (I read acknowledgments)
I haven't read it yet, so no I didn't, but I did see Erinaceous referenced in "Because Internet", which I thoroughly enjoyed.
I was up until 1 reading Catfishing on CatNet and now I am full of gronk.
Worth it, though.

I don't know how much people have been keeping up with the RWA v. Courtney Milan saga, but I cannot quite believe that today's development is that the president-elect of RWA lied about knowing Chuck Tingle.

I'm almost impressed by the RWA's implosion. If they had deliberately said "Hey, let's self-destruct," it couldn't have happened this thoroughly. But here they are.
