Yeah, I just petered out after awhile. I thought it was a decent trilogy (maybe not brilliantly written, but entertaining) that got way, way out of hand. But, yeah, around book 4 or 5 it got so repetitive and slow and I realized that every female character was basically the same person.
Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."
I think I made it almost halfway through the first book when I realized I had no idea what was going on or who anybody was.
I started reading The Mere Wife last night, and it was so good! I only put it down when I could no longer keep my eyes open, and I can't wait to get back to it tonight.
Buffista parents: I am in search of Where's My Cow A bedtime book that will not make me want to gouge my eyes out by the 5th reading.
Goodnight Moon is RIGHT OUT, and this is one of the few places that I feel that I can trust not to have recommended it in the first place.
Unfortunately, the Ankh-Morpork version of Where's My Cow? was vetoed by Lady Sybil.
Yeah, I've seen the released version, and that won't work for me. Sadly, the in-universe book might, but does not seem to exist.
Bugrit, millennium hand and shrimp!
Our bedtime go-to for years was Ten, Nine, Eight by Molly Bang. Pajama Time by Sandra Boynton is great too.
Good Night Good Night Construction Site, Dream Animals, and Goodnight Pirates.
We loved Moo, Baa, La La La and pretty much anything by Sandra Boynton.
