Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."
Found a Hamilton shoutout in a Tessa Dare romance. Delightful!
For anyone who likes Ellis Peters, the books in her George Felse series are on sale for $1.99 to $2.99 at Amazon. At least, I assume that's a sale price. Regardless, they're well worth it.
Thanks! I think I finally read all of the Cadfael books, did not know about these.

THANK YOU!
Relatedly, Slate had a podcast recently about that book, and I was thrilled that the first thing Charlie Jane Anders said was how much the main character sucks.
He's a 23 year old bundle of toxic masculinity trying really hard to convince himself he's objective. He has that one moment towards the end (which I cannot find now to quote exactly or to see who he was talking about) where he says something like "I didn't see a man, I didn't see a woman, I saw a person" and the only thing I can think is "Finally! Was that so hard?"
Yeah, he says that about the main friend he's off in the tundra or whatever with.
Finally reading Cat Sebastien, and I LOVE HER.
Oh my gosh, Blood, Water, Paint by Joy McCullough. (Trigger warnings all over the place) please let me write something this amazing at some point in my life.
