Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

not your mom's socks.

He just yelled "TESSERACT!" from the other room. That was a little unnerving.
Should you go check to make sure he's still there?

Art Crawl!!!

Tiny House "librairie" - is that a bookshop in French?

I love this - particularly because their cat looks so much like my dear, departed Tanuki.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

"librairie" - is that a bookshop in French?

Yup.
"librairie d'occasion" = used book store
"la maison qui chemine" = literally, the house that walks along (a path) but I'd probably say the wandering house.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

"la maison qui chemine" = literally, the house that walks along (a path) but I'd probably say the wandering house.

I am totally in love with this phrase now.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I just got an email telling me that the new Skulduggery Pleasant book is on its way to me! Supposedly it will take 2 weeks, since it's coming from the UK, but I think the previous books I've ordered from the UK have gotten here more quickly.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

And I just got an updated email that it should be here on Wednesday. At least Amazon UK is consistent with beating its estimated delivery date by a week.
