Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."
Tiny House "librairie" - is that a bookshop in French?
I love this - particularly because their cat looks so much like my dear, departed Tanuki.
"librairie" - is that a bookshop in French?
Yup.
"librairie d'occasion" = used book store
"la maison qui chemine" = literally,
the house that walks along (a path)
but I'd probably say
the wandering house.

I am totally in love with this phrase now.
I just got an email telling me that the new Skulduggery Pleasant book is on its way to me! Supposedly it will take 2 weeks, since it's coming from the UK, but I think the previous books I've ordered from the UK have gotten here more quickly.
And I just got an updated email that it should be here on Wednesday. At least Amazon UK is consistent with beating its estimated delivery date by a week.
Wow! And me trying to be financially responsible.
Last night I went to a book trivia night sponsored by the local library and held in my favorite bar. The head librarian said they'd been tasked with more community outreach, and that they were planning to interpret that as "find ways to meet book-loving people in as many local bars as possible". [Your deity here] bless librarians.
Books, Booze, Buffistas - a match made in heaven!
New Skulduggery Pleasant book has landed!!! (Too much work and migraine to sit down and read it right now, but I don't even care. It's still on the premises.)
