YAY SOX!
Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."
Congratulations, Sox!
Congrats Sox!
sox rocks!
Well-deserved, Sox!
My copy of Joe Hill's The Fireman came in today! I have a stack of books I really want to read right now (Sox's books, the newest Mercy Thompson, and several books by Richard Kadrey) and no time or energy to read any of them.
You continue to be a RockStar, Sox! Congratulations!
I was not aware of the Compton Crook award, but Diane Duane just tweeted out that Updraft also won that.
Context: The Compton Crook Award is presented to the best first English language novel of the year in the field of Science Fiction, Fantasy, or Horror by the members of the Baltimore Science Fiction Society, Inc, at their annual Baltimore-area science fiction convention, Balticon, held on Memorial Day weekend in the Baltimore, Maryland area.
Thanks you guys for everything!!! it's been a kind of nutty week and I've been sneaking over here to just hang. This place, and all of you, means so much to me.
ETA: go on, correct my grammar, I demand it.
Yay Sox! Congratulations again!
Oh, that's great! Congratulations, Sox! I'm so pleased that a book I like so much is getting recognition.
