You're wrong about River. River's not on the ship. They didn't want her here, but she couldn't make herself leave. So she melted... Melted away. They didn't know she could do that, but she did.

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

That which does not kill you should RUN

Damn, Pat Conroy died: [link] I first read The Prince of Tides in college, and he was my favorite author after that, for a LONG time.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Has anyone else tried the Shadow Unit series? I stumbled across it - the first one was free for Kindle, so I gave it a try. Could barely put it down. It's ... well, there's an obvious similarity to Criminal Minds for some of the characters, but after that it takes off on its own. It's done as kind of episodes with various authors. Seemed like something some of the Buffistas would like.

edited to reduce the chances of a certain someone finding it

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Will Shetterley has a history of harassing people online, so I'm afraid the mention of his name makes me run the other way.

(Edit: Jeeesus Christ, WS is still mentioning certain people by name on his blog.)

Yeah, it's one of those unfortunate consequences of the internet. Though, in case it wasn't obvious, I'm not trying to say you shouldn't be reading it and enjoying it -- there are a lot of talented people there who aren't him.

Dang, I just skimmed his blog, and he's really a pretentious racist shitlord, isn't he?

So much so that I had to stop and reassure myself that posts here aren't indexed, because he trolls mentions of himself and shows up to defend himself.

(Funny story: he once accused me of being homophobic.)

Oh, I have to amend my assessment, then: an EGOTISTICAL pretentious racist shitlord. Awesome.
