Buffy: So how'd she get away with the bad mojo stuff? Anya: Giles sold it to her. Giles: Well, I didn't know it was her. I mean, how could I? If it's any consolation, I may have overcharged her.

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

Contrarily, I keep getting the urge to catalog books that I've read but don't own and just tag them as Not Mine in some way. I strongly suspect that that way lies madness, but it is so tempting.

Hah! That's me and the ones I've passed on to my parents. There is at least one I'd kill to get my hands on again. It made a big impact on me, and is fairly obscure and I had to give it to a dear friend in a fit of love. Sheesh.

I do think I have a problem.

Karma is a cat, sleeping in my lap cuz it loves me. ~TS

Ok, I lied, there was a nook I hadn't checked, and whoa, a whole new box! Sadly, still not the book I'm looking for, more like books I thought I'd gotten rid of years ago. But, plus side, more titles to enter!

Because books.

sarameg, what's in your trashy romance box? Any historicals? I love older Anne Stuart and Deana James stuff, and I'd take old Mary Jo Putney or Laura Kinsale, too.

I don't really consider any of them trashy, but YtrashyMV.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I keep thinking about getting into Librarything, and then I think, oh yeah, that's kind of like work, and then I don't, and then it makes me kind of sad, because it's BOOKS, and then I remember the work thing again.

AmyLiz, you can check and SEE what's in my trashy romance box--basically anything romancey you want that's on my LibraryThing collection!! :) It's most all historicals, I only have a few random random more recent ones.

Because books.

Oh! Sorry -- for some reason I thought you hadn't listed them yet because you were unsure about keeping them. I'll go look!

meara - Mar 21, 2007 4:38:30 pm PDT #2320 of 28175

Yeah, the only thing is I haven't tagged anything, sorry--but basically, I'm willing ot part with most any of them.

Heck, the rest of them I'd be willing to loan out at least.

Not so much anymore. There used to be Coulters and whatnot (borrowed books was what got me hooked.)

Mostly contemporary these days. Crusie (def. not trash,) Howard (older stuff, mostly, which sometimes makes me wince) Freesomething (so freaking predictable and kinda freaking me out with the issues, but I keep buying the fuckers,) Kenyon (with-holding judgement,) and... assorted. The Nerd series. Lots of assorted. Vicki Hinze.

Man, the caveats ALSO make me wince. There's stuff there I can't really explain liking cause it pisses me off even as I enjoy it.

Oh, DUH. I conflated sarameg and meara. Sorry. I shouldn't be posting when I'm sleepy and half watching Lost.

I'll take a look at your library, meara!
