Hee.
Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."
I just read Fangirl and Attachments, both by Rainbow Rowell, over the last week. They were both enjoyable - I wasn't surprised after finishing it that Attachments was her first novel as it was definitely unbalanced with a tad bit of creepiness from the main character, but pleasurable nonetheless. Reminded me a bit of some of Meg Cabot's adult novels.
Eleanor and Park is a better novel than either but I recommend them all if you enjoy light romance.
That's cute; I read it in about 5 hours.
Prince Lestat is sitting on my Kindle, and has been since midnight last night.
I have not opened it yet. Because if I do, I won't get anything else done today, and I've got dayjob things I need to take care of.
But ... vampires!
Jilli, you are definitely winning the Marshmallow Test right now.
Wow, Jilli, are you okay? I mean, do you need medication or something?
I am being a responsible adult.
I DON'T WANT TO.
Dammit, book! Right over there! Still in an ambiguous state of "Might be better than Blood Canticle"!
I feel you. I have two books I'm salivating over I have not bought yet because adulting.
BAH.
BAH!
