Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Sounds like I will have to put it on my list.

Hey. New board.

It's the kind of dark comedy that you're not 100% sure it's okay to be ruefully chuckling at but you do it anyway. I'd definitely put it in that category, heavy on the dark.

Because books.

What Gris said. And I loved it.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I’m watching George R. R. Martin (who is not home writing), live on Tumblr right now.

Oh, hey, they’re going to let Tumblr users submit questions. I doubt he’ll answer my question, though: How many words did you write today?

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Hee.

Hey. New board.

I just read Fangirl and Attachments, both by Rainbow Rowell, over the last week. They were both enjoyable - I wasn't surprised after finishing it that Attachments was her first novel as it was definitely unbalanced with a tad bit of creepiness from the main character, but pleasurable nonetheless. Reminded me a bit of some of Meg Cabot's adult novels.

Eleanor and Park is a better novel than either but I recommend them all if you enjoy light romance.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

That's cute; I read it in about 5 hours.
