Ooh, thanks for the rec! That sounds right up my alley.
Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."
I just went to look it up on Goodreads and the first book is a free download from the Goodreads site (which beats even the $.99 on Amazon) though I haven't figured out how to get it to my Kindle, I'm reading it on my computer (Get any work done today? Don't be ridiculous!)
Free books, you say . . .
You need to download "send to Kindle", then you can right click on the file and send it to Kindle.
Ah, Kindle. I can never get Amazon stuff to work properly with my systems.
It's actually an ebook orginally. I just said "Kindle" because that is what I have.
I'm sure that there is something similar for other ebooks.
The down side is that the 3rd book ends on a heck of a cliffhanger and I don't know how long the wait will be for the next one.
You need to download "send to Kindle", then you can right click on the file and send it to Kindle.
Ah, download. You need an administrator password (and a decoder ring, and Level 7 clearance, or something) to download much of anything on the computers here. So reading on the computer it is. Maybe I'll figure out Kindling when I get home tonight.
Drat it. First 2 chapters free. Guess that $.99 on Amazon's the best deal after all.
