Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."
Code Name Verity broke me.
Code Name Verity broke me.
Oh dear. I'm in the middle of it now, and I'm loving it (and still holding out for something to "save" it). I tried to resist it for the longest time because of the subject, but I accidentally read the first several pages on Amazon or somewhere and was hooked. Am I going to be heartbroken?
I should read that.
All yall should read Wonder. It is very good.
Yes, yes you will.
But you won't regret it.
I love Wonder. I added to our 6th grade reading list, actually.
I gotta read Verity.
Every middle schooler in our school is reading it over the summer. I am looking forward to the all school read discussion for the first time since I cane here.
Am I going to be heartbroken?
Yes, yes you will.
But you won't regret it.
Oh, as usual, dear. Well, I can't put it aside while I gird up my loins - it's a library book (overdue). I shall just have to dive in with new fierceness of purpose (and brace myself).
Why'd it have to be so well written, drat it.
I loved that book.
