I'm listening to Breakfast of Champions—it is a delight to hear Stanley Tucci say the word "asshole" so many times—and I'm 2/3 of the way through, and what I thought was a thin layer of metafiction just became a thicker layer, and it's changing my perception of what this book is actually about. Well, I've been trying to figure out what the hell this book is actually about the whole time, since it's not really about having a plot. It's pretty hilarious, though.

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."
Amy! Eugene won the Andre Norton Award at the Nebulas!!!
Fair Coin is a great book. I am so excited it won. The Norton list was incredible this year.
Oh yay!! I met him and bought it on Friday!

That's great! And it reminds me I still want to read it.

He retweeted my submission guidelines for my SFF Theater Pub, so I wanted to repay the support. Also the book sounds awesome.
I finished my library book just as The FitzOsbornes In Exile arrived! It was like magic.

Yay for the FitzOsbornes! I may need to reread those: they are rapidly becoming real comfort reads to me.
I bought the second and third books used (in hardcover, because ... I have the first one in hardcover, and they have to match), and the third actually came first -- very distressing! And it's huuuuuuge! I told my mom (who read the first one when I told her to) that you had said the third one is a real heartbreaker, too. I can't wait!
I just got alerted to a Seanan McGuire serial available on Kindle!
