Riley: Oh, yeah. Sorry 'bout last time. Heard I missed out on some fun. Xander: Oh yeah, fun was had. Also frolic, merriment and near-death hijinks.

'Never Leave Me'

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I had no idea there was a new Kiki Strike book out! And even better, my library has it in! (But I'm in the middle of Etiquette and Espionage, and the Tanith Low book should ship soon, and I think another installment of Knut's book is out this week, yes? It's an embarrassment of book riches.)

Art Crawl!!!

Amazon recommended Queen Victoria's Book of Spells: An Anthology of Gaslight Fiction to me - and I thought (if they hadn't recommended to you) then a few here might be interested.

Art Crawl!!!

I discovered the Indigo Vat blog this morning and she has a fun project going: Gray Fox Epistles - you would sign up for the story and receive a letter in the mail once a month with that month's part of the story.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

That makes me very sad. I think I preferred when they were fighting.

Because books.

Better than Facebook? I don't know. I don't want Amazon to acquire everything, for one. And I can foresee every time I buy a book, an auto-post to my Goodreads account or something, and I don't like that. They could even do it for wish list items, I guess.

I don't want to link my FB and Goodreads accts either. I don't even "like" anything on FB. I hate that the "recommended" way to log in to places like Hulu is now via FB. Ugh.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

My accounts are already linked, although sometimes I wish they were not. I really don't need to know when a relative reads 50 Shades of Grey.

I have the new Mercy Thompson book from the library! Just in time for a weekend away.
