Wesley: All right. I'm going to let you all in on something you may have trouble comprehending. I assure you however-- Gunn: Vampires are real. Wesley: I was telling!

'The Cautionary Tale of Numero Cinco'

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

James Patterson on encouraging kids to read

Aw, good for him. I read some of his books back in the day.

I was afraid it would be about how he thinks it's stupid to encourage kids to read, like that idiot who hates libraries.

Because books.

A free Skullduggery Pleasant story to read at The Guardian.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So, I'm reading Gooseberry Bluff, as one does, and the next section isn't coming out for three weeks?? The horror!!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

So, I'm reading Gooseberry Bluff, as one does, and the next section isn't coming out for three weeks?? The horror!!

I started it last night. I thought it was three weeks from the first release date, so two weeks from now?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That helps some. But still!

Because books.

I'm almost done with A Brief History of Montmaray and now I'm panicking because I don't have the next one right here, right now.

Because books.

That was AWESOME. (I finished it Friday night and never posted.) Also sad! But appropriate, and *also* hopeful and full of possibilities!

I'm going to finish Maisie Dobbs and wait for another paycheck before I think about the next Montmaray, though. See me being virtuous.

Hee! You why I kept referencing I Capture the Castle? The others aren't so much like that, but they're still lovely. I really loved the characters, even the dog.

Because books.

Carlos is fantastic. And yes, I want to reread I Capture the Castle as soon as I finish these books. I loved that one.

For whatever reason, Veronica FitzOsborne reminded me of Plei. I kept seeing a very young Plei with long hair and very intense eyes.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I'm wanting to add novel, et al., reviews....but I don't think it's very politic for me on my business site.

It seems I take the Goodeads road, though I heard it can be confusing.

Or...I can redo my older blog; there are so many cool things to blog about.
