Kij Johnson won another Hugo! (Kij is a very dear friend, and a FANTASTIC writer.)
'Our Mrs. Reynolds'
Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."
She is Awesome and I admire her so much. I wish I'd met her this weekend. "The Man Who Bridged The Mists" was on my list of favorites last year.
Oh yay!! How'd that go?
Good! fast!
x-post with Tech:
If anybody is interested in a lightly used Kindle Touch in good condition (with the "special offers"), I'm selling mine. Going to downgrade to a non-touch Kindle (with buttons!). I'm trying to get $70 including shipping. E-mail me if you're interested.
The Skullduggery Pleasant that I was expecting on the 17th, per my notification? Arrived today. I don't understand, but I am happy to be confused.
Sorry, household chores, you will be ignored for the next little while. More than usual, I mean.

ENVY
Actually, mine says it's supposed to arrive tomorrow, so it's possible that it will have been delivered when I get home from work today. (Please please please.)
So I finished Feed last night.
My response: damn
I think Grant did a very nice job with the novel and now I want the trilogy to be a tv series by Whedon. I have started the 2nd book but with serious trepidation for obvious reasons.
The movie rights have been optioned, so we'll see where that goes. Glad you liked it!
The third book is out, right? I loved Feed, but had some major reservation with Deadline, even though it had some fun virology bits. Does the third book conclude the saga or is it ongoing?
The third book came out in June, and it concludes the saga. It's a trilogy. There may be more books in this world, but not with these characters.
I also highly recommend Countdown, which is a prequel novella that, well, counts down to the Rising. San Diego 2014: The Last Stand of the California Browncoats is worth a read as well; it's about the Rising at Comic-Con.
Cool. Will have to grab it for my Kindle when I get home.
(My refurbished Kindle! We loooooovessss it, Precious! I cannot believe I went without an eBook reader all these years!)
