Come on out, River. The nice man wants to kidnap you.

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

The movie rights have been optioned, so we'll see where that goes. Glad you liked it!

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

The third book is out, right? I loved Feed, but had some major reservation with Deadline, even though it had some fun virology bits. Does the third book conclude the saga or is it ongoing?

The third book came out in June, and it concludes the saga. It's a trilogy. There may be more books in this world, but not with these characters.

I also highly recommend Countdown, which is a prequel novella that, well, counts down to the Rising. San Diego 2014: The Last Stand of the California Browncoats is worth a read as well; it's about the Rising at Comic-Con.

Isn't it crazy? I was totally anti-Kindle...until I got one.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm trying to remember my stance--there must have been some reason it took me so long--but, fuck, I love the shit out of my reader. Even when I'm not reading, I'm loving.

brillig

When I'm fiddling with my Nook it's like sitting in a big pile of books--I open things and skim a couple of pages, then put it down and pick up something else and skim a little there. It's wonderful.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

The first gen Kindles were so fugly I couldn't imagine them being pleasant to read on. Then I got a cheap used one and got hooked on the convenience.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I love my reader apps on my tablet. I get to choose from hundreds of books to read on my lunch hour without the back ache of carrying the paper versions with me.

When my Kindle was stolen, I discovered that it was actually pretty neat to read on the Kindle app on my phone. It's like I'm carrying all these books with me in my pocket!
