Among Others won the Hugo.

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."
Among Others won the Hugo.
What a surprise.
That is: not at all.
Best Novelette: "Six Months, Three Days" by Charlie Jane Anders (Tor.com)
And Seanan wins (with others) on best Fancast.
I got to watch her win her very first Hugo. It was adorable. As soon as she got it, she clutched it tightly like she was never ever ever going to let it go.
I'm sad she didn't win in her other categories, but I'm hoping Blackout pulls a Return of the King and it wins on behalf of the whole trilogy.
I'm really happy about Charlie Jane's win, though; I actually raised my arms and shouted, "Yes!" Because that was a fantastic story.
PC, I was shouting the same thing. Charlie Jane is awesome. She's got a new one in lightspeed this month.
I'm over the moon about E. Lily Yu's Campbell Award too.
I met Seannan! And squeecast is hilarious. Jo Walton made me sniffle a lot.
Did you get cut off on the Ustream? Did you hear that Neil Gaiman is writing another Dr. Who ep?
I may have fangeebled at more than a few of my favorite writers this week. And I should still be sleeping right now. Sorry if there are typos.
I'm over the moon about E. Lily Yu's Campbell Award too.
I voted for her! I was a bit mystified by "Cartographer Wasps," but I appreciated the originality of it, and the rest of the stuff in her packet was so interesting. SHE WROTE A STORY ABOUT A LONELY LAMPPOST. A LAMPPOST.
I met Seannan!
Oh yay!! How'd that go?
And squeecast is hilarious.
I don't listen to podcasts, so I've never heard it.
Did you get cut off on the Ustream? Did you hear that Neil Gaiman is writing another Dr. Who ep?
I did get cut off, but I heard the Twitter buzz about the episode.
Sad to see that Deadline and i Countdown (and Wicked Girls) didn't actually have a chance against the winners, but kind of neat that Deadline actually beat A Dance with Dragons, especially considering Jo Walton apologized to GRRM on her way to the podium.
I really hope Blackout wins next year, but now I think that Feed was the best shot the series had. UGH 24 VOTES.
Speaking of: Mark Reads Feed!
Kij Johnson won another Hugo! (Kij is a very dear friend, and a FANTASTIC writer.)
She is Awesome and I admire her so much. I wish I'd met her this weekend. "The Man Who Bridged The Mists" was on my list of favorites last year.
Oh yay!! How'd that go?
Good! fast!
