I checked a book out called Masters of the Planet: The Search for our Human Origins.
The first blurb is by Jean Auel.
'Unleashed'
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

Just finished Shadow of Night (second book after A Discovery of Witches) and I loved it muchly. Now I'm sad that I'll have to wait forever for book three.
I can totally see why some of you don't like her writing, though--the pace is definitely glacial.
Ooh! Polgara, I'm so glad someone else read it. I went back and re-read Discovery of Witches and I'm somewhat surprised at how different the characters act in the two books. They are, separately, very enjoyable for me.
Also, WTF happened to Emily?! It's alluded to, but never followed up on.
Cliffhanger that'll come up in the third book for sure. I expect we'll find out everything that happened to all the others while Diana and Matthew were away. I can't WAIT to see the Gallowglass/Diana reunion. He was my favorite new character.
The thing I hate is that there isn't even a date announced, tentatively, for when the new book will arrive. Bah humbug!
I know! I dragged a little finishing the last 100 pages or so 'cause I knew it would be THE END for at least a year.
Oh, Maeve Binchy died.
I want to reread Light a Penny Candle or Firefly Summer now.
So sad, Consuela. I really love her books--truly smart and big-hearted comfort reading.
Here's some beautiful art about reading: [link]
