Now we're saving a vampire from vampires. I got two words for that -- Nuh and uh.

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

For they were completely unclassified and desperately miscellaneous; quite half were still parcelled and would have to be undone and distributed before even a start could be made.

Oh, my god. It's my den.

Swouncing

Poking head in order to post the new "Harry Potter"'s release date: 21st of July.

[Edit: is this how you write when there's a name in quotations followed by an apostrophe? With those three little dashes on top? "' like that? It looks wrong, but I can't think of any other way to write it and include both of those punctuation marks.]

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Holy shit. Like THIS July? Oh crazy times!!

is this how you write when there's a name in quotations followed by an apostrophe?

Well, books are italicized, so you don't need to worry about crazy apostrophes.

I bop to Wittgenstein. -- Nutty

Wow, I never thought it would be that soon.

I'm not sure whether to squee with glee or start praying madly to the Editing Gods that someone, well, actually has time to edit it.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Yay!! Now I'm just trying to figure out how I'm going to buy it--do I sign up at the local Borders, who had an amusing if small-scale fan party before handing out copies at midnight when I got OotP, or do I order it through Amazon and then go and enjoy the crowds in Oak Park like I did with ChiKat for HBP (which was a blast!). Oak Park has a massive blocks-wide celebration when any new HP book comes out. They turn their shopping district into "Diagon Alley," with "Quidditch" games and Human Chess in the park, the stores all renaming themselves after various Diagon Alley stores, and tons and tons of people. Very fun to watch, that's for sure!

And, we can all go see OotP that night to prepare, since it's coming out the week before. All Harry, all the time, in mid-July--get ready for the media onslaught now!
