I love John Green. I had the chance to hear the acceptance speeches by the winners of the Printz Award and Honors a few years back, when both M.T. Anderson and John Green won honors, and they both gave jaw-droppingly fantastic speeches. One of the highlights of my time in YA-world!

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."
I just finished reading Good Omens (in a word: AHAHAHAHA!! Also: awesome!) and... if ever this gets made into a movie, which is interesting to contemplate, SURELY they should cast Mark Sheppard as Crowley, right? I cannot even imaging anyone else in the role.
Given that Mark Sheppard just finished playing a demon named Crowley (well, maybe not finished, but he's had a good run so far), I'm actually mostly hoping they find someone else.
Michael Caine would make a great Crowley.

Huh. I did not know that. Supernatural, I suppose. (It's too bad, because he really is perfect for this character. I could totally hear Sheppard's voice in the dialog throughout the book. Plus that face in the ubiquitous shades, of course.)
I want Anthony Stewart Head for Aziraphale. Or Ian McKellan.
I see Crowley as more sinuous and lanky than Sheppard, but I don't know who that would be.
My dream cast for Good Omens has been Fry and Laurie since I read it.
Fry & Laurie? yeah, much better than my suggestion of Caine.

Fry - Crowley and Laurie - Aziraphale? I could just about see it working either way...
