Art Crawl!!!

My copy of the Soulless manga arrived today and I was quite taken with how much the cover looks like Jilli modelled for it. The dress looks like it was out of her armoire - a manga Jilli!

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Hee! You are not the first person to have said this.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

While wandering around FaerieCon yesterday, in only slightly-fancier clothing than my usual, two different people asked me if I was from the Parasol Protectorate.

brillig

I was reading the comments on Mark Reads re: LotR, and someone mentioned fanfic where Faramir went to Rivendell instead of Boromir. Does anyone know of this, and if so, do they know where it's at?

Because books.

Interview with Lev Grossman, author of The Magicians and The Magician King, which explores fan fiction. It's from August, so it might have been linked already.

Crossposted with FanFic.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Not just Roald Dahl stamps, but also Quentin Blake.

The Plagiarist’s Tale. The amount of pathos in this story is staggering.

IO9's 10 worst mistakes that authors make in alternate history. I 100% disagree with #10. How arbitrary is that? Write your own fanfiction and leave the author alone.
