I would SO buy tickets to Joe Reads The Hunger Games.
Me, too! Joe would be way snarkier and more entertaining than Mark.
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

And think how much fun it would be to have Joe and Aims Read - stereophonic snarking!
The end of the Parasol Protectorate series???!!
Yes, sumi. Believe me, I'm gnashing my teeth about it.
Is there a specific reason she's ending it?
I think it's that she had a specific story arc planned. I remember her saying that she never planned to turn it into a lengthy series.
That makes sense.
If the author thinks it is time to conclude the series, she is probably right. Otherwise you get things like the Amelia Peabody series far outliving its best days, and that awful OZ book with "button bright" as one of the characters. And "Tom Sawyer, Detective".
And "Tom Sawyer, Detective".
Yeah, but that came between Tom Saywer and Huckleberry Finn, and I'm glad with he stayed with the characters long enough to get to Huck's story.

Each book does seem to have basically ended with a specific development that has moved the story to its natural conclusion.
