Well, it's just good to know that when the chips are down and things look grim you'll feed off the girl who loves you to save your own ass!

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I ordered my copy today through Pudd'nhead Books (local indie).

Art Crawl!!!

PD James is writing a Pride and Prejudice murder mystery.

I must say that, while I love PD James' mysteries, I don't really see her writing the stupidity that is Lydia Wickham.

Art Crawl!!!

That could be PD James entire purpose in writing the novel.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I was in the bookstore today and saw a new one called something like "Definitely not Mr. Darcy". Yes, a takeoff on P&P - basically, a single mother becomes a contestant on a "reality" show where everyone lives as though it were the early 19th century and the women are trying to get a man to propose to them - they get the guy and a cash prize. So, basically, The Bachelor without modern conveniences.

um ... did the author watch the Regency House show on PBS? much the same (without the prize aspect).

With all the extrapolations and sequels to P&P, I get the feeling Jane Austen is (or should be) spinning in her grave.
