Anya, the Shopkeepers of America called. They wanted me to tell you that 'please go' just got replaced with 'have a nice day.'

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

It's from the first Tiffany Aching book The Wee Free Men by Mr. Pratchett.

Ah. I've never read Pratchett.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Ah. I've never read Pratchett.

Well, that would be a good place to start. I always recommend the audiobook by Stephen Briggs as it's extremely funny.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I always recommend the audiobook by Stephen Briggs as it's extremely funny.

Now THAT is something I should buy for Canada this year.

(I've also purchased a 48-part lecture series on the history of China, but my fellow passengers may prefer Pratchett...)

"Oh, Waily waily! They've got a lawyer!"

And next will come the foldin' o' the arms, and the tappin' o' the feet!

Man, I love the Nac Mac Feegle. I would read an entire novel about the one who ended up on the Watch. Wee Mad Angus?

ION, I came by the thread to post this link, which is a great writeup about a new Buffista book: [link]

I will have to see if I can get it on my Kindle...

If Deathly Hallows were an anime: [link]

That's really awesome, although I can't figure out who the redhead with the earrings is in the top 1/3.

ETA: I am informed that "the woman in the earrings" is supposed to be Bill Weasley. Confounded by my unfamiliarity with the conventions of anime!
