Spike: Lots of fuss over one girl. Other things to do around here--important things. Angel: You know that whoosh thing you do when you're suddenly not there anymore? I love that.

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Lost Conan Doyle novel to be published:

The Narrative of John Smith was written when Conan Doyle was 23, and just a few years before the author published his first Sherlock Holmes story, A Study in Scarlet. It tells the story of a 50-year-old "opinionated Everyman" confined to his room by gout, laying out his thoughts and views on subjects from religion to war and literature through the conversations he has with his visitors, from a retired army major to a curate.

I'm really not thrilled with all the violence Shaun does and threatens to do to people. I'm not hating the book or anything, but I think I'd like it better if I actually liked Shaun.

The second book in the Newsflesh trilogy by Mira Grant. The first book was Feed. I loved the first book, and I'm enjoying the second book (I'm only about a third of the way through). I just have a few issues with it. It's definitely worth checking out!

I like that he's very self-aware, though. He understands where his violence comes from and isn't proud of it. He's not as likable as George, though, I agree.

OK, Deadline officially rocks.

Heh, where are you?

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Okay, gotta say, having just hit the bit in Deathly Hallows where we see Neville again (which I had utterly forgotten from my first read--I read the entire book in one five-hour sprint and recall very little), I must share this t-shirt. It's pretty awesome.
