I got stupid. The money was too good.

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

Okay, gotta say, having just hit the bit in Deathly Hallows where we see Neville again (which I had utterly forgotten from my first read--I read the entire book in one five-hour sprint and recall very little), I must share this t-shirt. It's pretty awesome.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Love!

Because books.

Selling books the old-fashioned way.

not your mom's socks.

Mary Robinette Kowal made an interesting card game to go with Shades of Milk and Honey (which I haven't read yet - has anyone here?). [link]

Also, now that I seem to have my eyes back, I can start on Feed and then Deadline. I've been so jealous of folks reading them, when I know they're waiting on my iPad for me. Also the 1/3 of Embassytown that I didn't finish before I had to give up the shiny screens.

ETA: links are helpful

Oh, Neville. You so rule.

I know that the narrative wants me to love Harry, Ron, and Hermione best. But I think my personal favorite characters are Luna, Neville, and Tonks. They're just so splendid. Weird and flawed and awesome.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I liked it!

Ooh, how is it? It sounds intriguing.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Neville is one of my favorite characters, too. I love the way he progresses from a bumbler with a sad story to a student with a flair for potions to one of the leaders of his class.

Luna and Neville are two of my favorites, too.

We finally saw the first part of Deathly Hollows a week ago, and I was startled when Neville appeared. Talk about growing up. He's hardly the little kid he was when they started filming the movies.
