Ooh, are these more of the Coralie Bickford-Smith editions?
Yes. But they seem to be coming out piecemeal, not in sets of 10 (9 in the US) like the first two.
There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

I picked up _Birdsong_ by Sebastian Faulks after seeing it on a recommended list and reading lots of reviews about how stirring and well written it is....30 pages in it is SO BORING. Like, _Clarissa_ boring. Descriptions of scenery. Descriptions of people, nothing happening. Maybe i've been reading too much YA recently and started expecting books to start with a little plot to grab my attention....
Can someone reassure me that it will pick up soon? So far it's totally bumming my workouts (in that i'm not so engrossed in my book that i want to keep going).
Except for Crime and Punishment and Madame Bovary (because they are translations, maybe?), the first two sets are available at Amazon. You can see what they contain here: [link] and [link] Then there are 2 more Dickens, A Christmas Carol and Other Christmas Writings and A Tale of Two Cities (which I would love if the scarves weren't orange), Dante's Inferno, and the others I linked to. I think that is it for titles so far.
Note: The Amazon editions don't have the "set" volume number on the spine.
I don't really *need* another edition of Dracula. I don't I don't I don't. And if I was going to buy another copy, it would probably be this one: [link]
Ok, 35 pages in and i think i might have found indications of conflict to come. Shall continue reading.
Those cloth-bound books are gorgeous. Really gorgeous.
Anyway, if I'm going to buy another copy of book(s) I already own, then the fancy leatherbound edition of the first three Vampire Chronicles is first on my list.
(I need my cliche card stamped again, don't I?)
I've jsut started collecting those clothbound books. They are gorgeous. I seriously covet Crime and Punishment.
I seriously covet Crime and Punishment.
Is that available in Canada? Because it's not on Amazon here.
No, it's not available, hence the covetousness.
