Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

I seriously covet Crime and Punishment.

Is that available in Canada? Because it's not on Amazon here.

hip deep in pie

No, it's not available, hence the covetousness.

I have to assume it's a rights/permissions issue for the translations.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

So! I got my Free Library of Philadelphia card in the mail today! I signed up and borrowed two Pratchett books and a Roseanne Cash biography. Yay libraries! It was super simple, because I'd already downloaded all the stuff and set up all the accounts I'd need previously. Anyway, so it's already on my Nook, and will be for 21 days. I love it.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Now that I think about it, I heard something about a new SoI&F Kindle edition, but I can't remember how it was different or why it needed to come out.

Availability in the UK, maybe? It was something that wouldn't affect me so I let it slip right out of my head.
