Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

My favorite was The Odyssey. (Heh, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is good too.)

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

My favorite last words are the ones attributed to Giles Corey during the Salem Witch Trials. He was being pressed (i.e. stuck between boards with weight piled up on the top board), because he refused to declare himself innocent or guilty (by doing so, he didn't give up rights to his property). His last words were supposedly "More weight!"

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Anybody else read Faye Kellerman? Specifically, does anyone remember which book was the first one with Chris Donatti? I can't remember, and don't feel like going through my whole shelf searching. (Also, could she possibly use less descriptive titles? Aside from the first one, and then Milk and Honey being the one with the bees, and Jupiter's Bones the one with the guy named Jupiter, and maybe one or two others, I can never remember which title goes with which story.)

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Google says, "Stone Kiss"

No, "Stone Kiss" was the second one. The first one was when he was a teenager.

OK, I checked the author's website. It was "Justice."

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Specifically, does anyone remember which book was the first one with Chris Donatti?

He's been in more than one? I used to read her books, but I stopped after the one where Peter's oldest daughter (the one on the police force) had the horrific car accident.
