Gunn: The final score can't be rigged. I don't care how many players you grease, that last shot always comes up a question mark. But here's the thing. You never know when you're taking it. It could be when you're duking it out with the Legion of Doom, or just crossing the street deciding where to have brunch. So you just treat it like it was up to you—the world in balance—'cause you never know when it is.

'Underneath'

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Did I mention that I finished Blameless the other day? Lots of fun!

Oddly, what I dug the most was the character development of Ivy. And I laughed my ass off at Conall drinking the formaldehyde from Lyall's specimen jars of sheep fetuses and eating the contents and referring to them as a "crunchy treat."

I thought the Templar stuff got a bit tedious, but not horribly so.

Finally, I want to know more about Floote.

Yes'm, for 3 semesters.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Steph, I know! Ivy not a complete scatterbrain! Clever! I was so delighted about that. And OH MY GOD, BIFFY IS A WEREWOLF AND AKELDAMA IS THE NEW POTENTATE, iiiieee!

I get to meet Gail Carriger on Friday. I'm so excited!

The status is NOT quo.

I thought Blameless was tons of fun. Hurray for Gail Carriger!

Jilli, I'm excited you get to meet her, but I think she needs to understand that she is writing about YOU. I mean, seriously, half the fun of reading the books is that I quite shamelessly picture you in the main role. How could I not? (And yes, this does make Pete a cranky werewolf, and I will say no more on that account except heeeheehee.)

I'm way more whimsical than Alexia?

BWHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHA! And the StuntHusbnd really is planning on turning into Lord Akeldama.

Who ELSE do you think was playing that role in my mind?

My favorite was The Odyssey. (Heh, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is good too.)
