Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. She really wanted it. Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.

Literary Buffistas 3: Don't Parse the Blurb, Dear.

There's more to life than watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No. Really, there is! Honestly! Here's a place for Buffistas to come and discuss what it is they're reading, their favorite authors and poets. "Geez. Crack a book sometime."

Hmm. You can add up to 6 friends to the Shelfari thing, so I will ask here: anyone who is on FB with me also do Shelfari?

Cause I'd like to actually use my 6 people wisely.

Thanks Erin, I am new to FB and a luddite at heart so I sometimes feel like an unfrozen caveman lawyer when it comes to these things.

move out and draw fire

I've got a 5ft shelf (music and video, as I couldn't limit myself to books, sue me) and a Library Thing. Will try Shelfari and link to FB.

Keep breathing!

Timelies, all!

I have two new books from the library now: Her Fearful Symmetry by Audrey Niffenegger (author of The Time Traveler's Wife) and Stephen King's new one, The Dome. I started HFS first because I'm dreading shlepping King's heavy tome on my Metro commute. Now that I'm about half-way through HFS, I must say that Niffenegger has a lovely voice. I am completely enthralled.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I have got to read my copy of Her Fearful Symmetry. I bought it the week it came out, but got distracted by life and haven't gotten around to reading it yet.

Keep breathing!

It is a great escape book. I keep worrying I'll miss my stop or get robbed on the train, because once I open the book I find it very hard to pry myself out of it again.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Her Fearful Symmetry by Audrey Niffenegger (author of The Time Traveler's Wife)

Ooh, that one's on its way to me. Can't wait! I need to get on and finish 'And Another Thing', Colfer's sequel to the Hitchhiker's Guide series, too. It's been fantastic so far.

Erin, have you figured out the Shelfari app?

I can't seem to get it to work. If I add it to my profile, it shows up as a post instead of the sidebar (which doesn't make sense to me), only some of my friends show up in the invite box, etc.
