Heh. Then I went to Shelfari...I avoided LibraryThing, but succumbed to the lure of Shelfari because there's no book limit, and I can link it to my facebook.
Oooh, I didn't think anyone else here uses Shelfari. My sister-in-law got me to join. I mostly use it to keep track of what I want to read, but I fill in comments when I can because she checks for recommendations.
How do you link it to FB?
Does LibraryThing have limits? I gave into their crack quite helplessly, but I think I may have ended up paying them money for some reason.
Only the first two hundred books listed on LibraryThing are free, ita.
Yeah, to go over 200 books on LT, apparently you gotta shell out.
To add Shelfari to FB, go to your shelf, then "more" then "My Widgets"
Go to the text under the graphic where it says "Does it work on my blog / web site?"
The Shelfari widget works on most blogs and social networks, including Blogger, LiveJournal, MySpace, Typepad, Xanga, Vox, Wordpress.com and more. It also works on Facebook. To create a widget enter your site URL in the text box on the right side and press the Get Started button."
Hit the Facebook hotlink, then it will get you all connected. Then you add FB friends to share with.
Are we FB friends, Megan? (I feel like a tool just asking that!)

No I haven't friended anyone that I thought might not know my real name. I will anon.
Hmm. You can add up to 6 friends to the Shelfari thing, so I will ask here: anyone who is on FB with me also do Shelfari?
Cause I'd like to actually use my 6 people wisely.
Thanks Erin, I am new to FB and a luddite at heart so I sometimes feel like an unfrozen caveman lawyer when it comes to these things.
I've got a 5ft shelf (music and video, as I couldn't limit myself to books, sue me) and a Library Thing. Will try Shelfari and link to FB.
