[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

What a gorgeous exhibit! It needs to come to the Smithsonian...yes it does!
And happy natal day to Raquel too. Us and Clarence Darrow. They should rename April 18 great minds day! (except I'm sure lots of dodgy characters were born this day too...and all the other Bitch birthdays are just as auspicious. lalalala...having a great day.)
I am too happy to know that my birthday is the same as Gandolfini's but I would not have guessed we are "only" twelve years apart.
I think Raquel said earlier that it's not actually her bday, but HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BEEJ!
Hec approved of my hair when we met up with them Sunday night. Validation is always good.
So ND and I are on the road back to LA after a fun couple of days in Vegas. We had fabulous Japanese food with Hec and JZ and then saw Avenue Q Sunday night. On Monday we wandered the Strip, lost a little money, and then saw Zumanity, which was sexy, funny, and amazing. We then ate and lost a little more money before going back to our room. This morning we slept in, checked out, ate, and now are on the road home. I had a great time, although my head cold got in the way more than I want to admit. Poor ND had to baby me a bit.
Now to clean my apartment and prepare for my dad, who's visiting from tomorrow until Sunday. I also need to think about grading a few papers before school starts back up on Monday...
Oops. Busted on the skiptomylooing. Still, good wishes never go misspent.
eta: sounds like a really fun trip. I miss being able to drive to 'vegas.
It's a Victorian home that has been turned into 3 condos all separately owned. If she sells it to someone that wants to rent it great; if she sells it to someone who wants to move in, we're screwed.
sj, if I missed the following, please forgive me. Is she trying to sell just your apartment (that condo), or the whole building?
Yeah, I roll my eyes at her. He's looking thinner because he's getting taller, but he's still at the 55% for weight.
His cheeks lie in the photos, Raq. I would have put him at about the 80th percentile for weight, but still, he's hardly too thin. Oof. And I say that, loving fat babies.
Thank you so much for the link. I'm going to put it on my Amazon wish list now. Then I have to find a tactful way remind dh it's the wish list you look at, not the "page you made" because I look up all sorts of crap I'd never actually want to bother reading.
I thought about the book last night when I gave a few minutes to some new reality show called "Shalom in the Home." A rabbi was working with this couple (the father was a bio dad to at least one kid, and step dad to another). It actually didn't look bad, but I didn't feel like listening to other people's domestic issues, at the time.
darn - i knew someone was a birthday twin - it was Beej , not Raq. But extra wishes are good and
happy birthday Beej!
there was a custard tart with berries on it at the cafe thismorning. and rasberry soaked in triple sac over ice cream. Not the best breakfast for me, but it fueled my shopping trip. I bought nothing boring. Later neighbors are feeding me dinner.
so far a good day
sj -- I'm sending the no selling vibes your way.
and mal is not too thin. I say so .
Is she trying to sell just your apartment (that condo), or the whole building?
She only owns the apartment we are moving into, so that is all she is trying to sell.
Bday dinner later with a friend, tomorrow night Fella is giving me a mehndi...not sure where, Thursday lunch with another friend...Friday dinner with my Tribe, and plans all weekend that I'm not to know about yet...THEN, Colin Hay at the Birchmere Monday night.
It all started out with lunch and Godiva from the office yesterday.
FABulous birthday week for me! (and it isn't even a significant number!)
