'Beneath You'

Spike's Bitches 29: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Is she trying to sell just your apartment (that condo), or the whole building?

She only owns the apartment we are moving into, so that is all she is trying to sell.

Compassionately intolerant

Bday dinner later with a friend, tomorrow night Fella is giving me a mehndi...not sure where, Thursday lunch with another friend...Friday dinner with my Tribe, and plans all weekend that I'm not to know about yet...THEN, Colin Hay at the Birchmere Monday night.

It all started out with lunch and Godiva from the office yesterday.

FABulous birthday week for me! (and it isn't even a significant number!)

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

This was the second attempt to get her to handle grass. Paul had her by himself the first time, and when he shared her reaction to it with me, I laughed and laughed and laughed and declared her Just Like Mal.
So adorable.

I say we all run about naked sprinkling glitter
It is indeed a glorious and wonderful day! Happiest Birthday beth and Beej!

I need some ~ma today.
Much, much, much ~ma flung at you, sj. This is really a tough situation to be in and I think you have every right to be furious at the agent.

She got very sad and said, "So you're all alone?"
Kara is absolutely the darlingest!

Work Rant Ahead
Oh, Suzi... How frustrating. Shall we smite them?

Wallybee an' me
I am such the billytea'nWallybee shipper. Adorable!

they're having a major exhibition on the International Arts and Crafts Movement.

Since I do know it isn't all about me:

{{{Suzi}}} I am sorry about the work suckiness.

Mal is perfectly baby sized.

~ma and hugs to all else who need them.

Always Anti-fascist!

The Arts and Crafts movement was in the Sopranos this week. Seriously. I don't know much about it, tending to be troubled by my dad in full-on antique slinger mode.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Ack! I forgot to give comforting snuggles to Suzi for the evil work situation! Belated snuggles to you, m'dear.

Cass, how are you doing today? Any better?

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Happy Beej-Day!

I have an interview on Thursday. The full time position I applied for on Monday, well, it is not so much open for another month or two. BUT if we decide I am the person to fill it, they will get me hours working at other locations, part-time slots here and there, until it is open. I was not expecting this: the preliminary interviewer indicated that the man who is in that position is just filling it temporarily till a permanent person be found - but the house manager I spoke with today, says he is permanent until he leaves on assignment with the Peace Corp.

I'm not thrilled with the mis-communication, but if this house is a place where I am meant to work, having a couple of months of not-full-time work will not be a bad thing. I truly am worn down - whether it is the adjustment to winter, the stress of the move, or the previous job draining me dry - a chance to rest up a bit would not be a bad thing. Still, I am going to put applications in at other agencies. As the full-time position is one working with individuals who are MR with mental illnesses, but physically healthy - the challenges of working with them are very different from what I have been dealing with the last few months. Finding the right chemistry between the individuals and the staff assisting them is even more important. In general, I can be optimistic that either this would be a good place for me to work, or that if not, it is no more serious than the chemistry not being right - and they may well be pleased to keep me in mind for another position elsewhere. So, knowing-the-right-thing~ma requested.

What is even happening?

Happy Birthday Beej who is not Raq!\

She only owns the apartment we are moving into, so that is all she is trying to sell.

sj, the realtor was way the heck out of line, then. I'm so sorry. I hope you can find a way to stick them for your moving costs (in and out).

Shit's all sorts of different now.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEEJ!
