Thanks sweeties!
And, things really are good Nicole. Good like probably going to be permanent good. Which is wonderful and challenging in the huh-better-let-go-of-those-old-self-destructive-mind-habits, kinda way.
I've definitely bumped into the 'upper limit' problem lately. But am happily working through it.
Sigh. Happy.
Happy birthdays to beth and Raquel!
It was such a gorgeous day in SF that I made JZ (who's taking today off) take a walk in the park today. We went over to check out the new De Young Museum and discovered that they're having a major exhibition on the International Arts and Crafts Movement.
So freaking gorgeous! So many masterpieces. Beautiful book binding, writing tables (including the Lovelace Escriture), tapestries, chairs, calligraphy, jewelry, pottery and dresses.
I thought, Amyparker and Bev need to see this! And then realized that Bev would be coming to the F2F and it would still be showing. So I think folks might want to consider this as an outing during the F2F.
Happy birthday to you too, Beej.
Yes! (to David)
Happy birthday to Beth and Beej!
Most gallant Hecubus, the board is quiet without you...
My mom's hair is pretty short now, in tangentially related news, and I was the only one to say it looked great
Once again, I will miss Thread Close and Thread Rebirth. It's bedtime over here.

What a gorgeous exhibit! It needs to come to the Smithsonian...yes it does!
And happy natal day to Raquel too. Us and Clarence Darrow. They should rename April 18 great minds day! (except I'm sure lots of dodgy characters were born this day too...and all the other Bitch birthdays are just as auspicious. lalalala...having a great day.)
I am too happy to know that my birthday is the same as Gandolfini's but I would not have guessed we are "only" twelve years apart.
I think Raquel said earlier that it's not actually her bday, but HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BEEJ!
Hec approved of my hair when we met up with them Sunday night. Validation is always good.
So ND and I are on the road back to LA after a fun couple of days in Vegas. We had fabulous Japanese food with Hec and JZ and then saw Avenue Q Sunday night. On Monday we wandered the Strip, lost a little money, and then saw Zumanity, which was sexy, funny, and amazing. We then ate and lost a little more money before going back to our room. This morning we slept in, checked out, ate, and now are on the road home. I had a great time, although my head cold got in the way more than I want to admit. Poor ND had to baby me a bit.
Now to clean my apartment and prepare for my dad, who's visiting from tomorrow until Sunday. I also need to think about grading a few papers before school starts back up on Monday...
