It's my estimation that... every man ever got a statue made of him, was one kind of sumbitch or another.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I agree with Cash, unfortunately. I mean, it depends who the owner sells to, but a month to month agreement doesn't give you a lot of leverage.

I know. I feel like an idiot, but I was assured by good friends that this is more common than not in Worcester, so I didn't worry about it. We both have to be out of our apartments by the end of the month, so we have to move in regardless. I think we are just going to start looking around to see what else we find, meanwhile seeing what happens with showing the condo, etc.

sj, that both sucks and blows. I fervently hope the owner can't/doesn't sell the place.

Too thin?

Yeah, I roll my eyes at her. He's looking thinner because he's getting taller, but he's still at the 55% for weight.

Oh, and Cindy, here's that book I was talking about on LJ. I really liked it.

Is it evil to ask for anti-selling~ma?

So, any final thoughts for SB 30's title?

Once again, I will miss Thread Close and Thread Rebirth. It's bedtime over here.

sj, it's not evil at all to hope she can't sell. Did you and Dave pay a fee to this rental agent? If so, you might want to think about writing a nasty letter demanding your fee back since they withheld information, or, say, if she does sell and you're evicted w/in the next 12 months that they help you find a new, comparable place to live for you without charging you another fee.

I'm getting the pig!

That's such crap. Whether they thought she'd be able to sell it or not, they still should've disclosed that little tidbit of information. Jerks.

The part I'm most disgruntled about, on your behalf, is that she'll want to show the place and that is such a PITA for you and Dave. Grrr.

We each paid a $25 background check fee, but other than that I assume they make their money off the property owners. Which I guess means that all of their loyalty is to them, and we get screwed over.

The agent also claims she never showed it once in the 6 months the last renters were there. If she does start showing it on a regular basis, we are out of there.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Is there a professional organization you can report them to for withholding information? That's just wrong, there ought to be some sort of consequences for them.
