Frankly he has every right to be angry with me. And I think I have every right to be more concerned about the niecelet and her (very fragile and very distraught) feelings than his.

I think I am going to try and go with email in a day or two. I can do a couple of drafts and not be as concerned about lashing out or breaking down.
I will apologize and take my lumps from him if I can still write to her. The cost is far less than the benefit. I just can't imagine not having her in my life at least a little.
