Oh! I know this one! 'Slaying entails certain sacrifices, blah blah blahbity blah, I'm so stuffy, gimme a scone.'

Buffy ,'Help'

Spike's Bitches 29: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Well, yeah.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

{{{Cass}}} I am so so sorry. I hope you can keep the lines of communication open with the niecelet. Maybe once things have cooled off you can point out your brother that you have been abiding by his restrictions and you don't mean to undermine his authority.

And since I am now all dead from the cute, I might as well sleep.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

That's a terrible and helpless feeling.
It just really is. I feel like my heart was ripped out, salted and stomped on for a while.

Frankly he has every right to be angry with me. And I think I have every right to be more concerned about the niecelet and her (very fragile and very distraught) feelings than his.

This is really good advice. I think I am going to try and go with email in a day or two. I can do a couple of drafts and not be as concerned about lashing out or breaking down.

I will apologize and take my lumps from him if I can still write to her. The cost is far less than the benefit. I just can't imagine not having her in my life at least a little.

Oh my, those babies (why are they growing up so fast?????) are just delightful. Yay fun pictures!

move out and draw fire

The Punk is going to be tall and thin like MM, isn't she? She's such a beautiful girl.

I love the "DUUUUDE!" photo of Lilybean...and am sort of relieved that even though you have much nicer grass, she has the same reaction to it as Mal.

And because I'm a joiner, here's Mal's proof of child abuse. [link] Robert feels that horizontal AND vertical stripes are wrong like a wrong thing even on a baby. (Also, I just realized that photo was the last time Mal used a pacifier. Cool.)

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

{{Cass}} I wish I could help.

Oh lord, such cutie patooties. The buffista sprog are the best babies ever.

(I have size 10 feet. I always thought they were huge.)

There were probably other things to respond to, but I've forgotten them. Timelies. Kara decided that she had to have company when she got up at 3 to go potty and I haven't been able to go back to sleep yet. I hope that changes soon.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Cutie-pie Mal!

{{{Cass}}} I wish I knew what to tell you. I do think your strategy of taking your lumps from your brother if it means keeping open communication with your niece might be your best option.

Also, is there any way you can let her grandparents know that while you don't want to undermine parental authority, you also think your brother is doing active harm to her through his crappy parenting? Or would that only make things worse?

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

is ded from the cute.

seriously. ded.

(And Ahmed, a wee Grade 1 boy whom I was teaching an hour or two ago, agreed that Tickybox was gorgeous, seemed convinced that she had to be my child, and once he'd accepted that this lady was her mom and that gentleman was her dad, then switched his attention to Jilli (in top hat) and Pete. He announced, very wisely, that Jilli was one of the teachers in the school. I am still searching my memory to try to figure out who we have who looks remotely Jilli-an. Top hats are fairly thin on the ground here. Hmm.)

Our wings are not tired.

Oh! Buffista sprog pictures are the bestest way to start the day. (It also reminds me that I have been neglectful of picture taking lately. They may be oversized, but still cute)

Off to breakfast. Early child off the school already and that other one is still suspended so I am going out to breakfast since I don't have to drive him to school.

What is even happening?

Em! Lilly! Mal! A triple shot of cute overload when I've only had about 3 oz of coffee? Deadly.

This is adorable, Fay. I think he is just recognizing Jilli's innate authority.

Mostly lurking...

{{{Cass}}} Sorry I wasn't around, love. Hope you're getting some good sleep right now. I'm around...

BABIES! BABIES EVERYWHERE! I am ded from the cute. It's not nice to do that so early in the morning.

I must decide what I'm going to do today. I have therapy at 3 and am going to Family Night with mom tonight. But, I should probably come up with some things to do in the meantime. I could clean, but that's no fun. I could quilt, but I'd have to clean to find the table to put the sewing machine on. Hmmmm...

Maybe I'll start by unpacking and go from there.
