Well, my day was not quite as interesting as either ChiKat's or Askye's day.
The good news is, I don't have to work tomorrow (Easter Sunday). The bad news is, come Monday, I need to be looking for a new job. After being yelled at over the phone by my boss for 5+minutes, I got to thinking, "I should hang up, I don't need to listen to this."
beat.
"Better not, hanging up on your boss is unprofessional."
beat.
"She needs to not be my boss anymore, cuz I'm not taking this."
She was trying to blame me for something she felt I was blaming her for. Except that the situation was not one I am inclined to blame anyone for.
So anyway, after I got sick of her talking over my attempts to soothe her wounded ego, I said, "Ya know what? I don't work here anymore. Good luck finding someone to cover my shift tomorrow."

Go you, Andi. I've done that very thing (although in a meeting, not over the phone), and it was SO MUCH the right thing to do for me. I hope you find it's the same for you, and that the next job comes your way post-haste.
I'm not usually a Nordstrom's fan, but I'm now a huge Michelle fan - glad they caught it!
And yuck for family trauma. Sometimes I guess it's nice to not have a family.
It's Easter in the States, huh? That means no one will be around today, I'm guessing. (As MaryAnn Johnson says, "Whoever invented chocolate bunnies was a genius! A symbol of fertility made of an aphrodisiac!")
I am unhappy. I accidentally overwrote my website with an older copy last night, which means I destroyed about 10 hours of the DH's writing, which was really funny and possibly un-recreatable. And he had a really bad day yesterday, so I really don't want to tell him.

I made it to San Diego yesterday after missing my original flight. Had to go back to the airport today to plead - in person - for them to honor my return. Which the man nicely did after three other people jerked me around on the phone yesterday. So I actually get to go back to Portland now.
Tomorrow? Fun-filled family time. There are not enough tranquelizers in the world. However there will be a nephlet and a neicelet in attendence and that makes me quite pleased. And my sister's pregnant belly but I am not yet emotionally attached to the twins, so I'm pretty much just looking forward to seeing the already born ones.
I had a Christmas present I had to return because it didn't fit me. They didn't have a larger size. I looked around for other things to get but even though the shop was full of lots of interesting things, none were things I think were worth the money or things I jonesed for or needed. I went back today with gift card in hand to see if their stock had changed. I think I spent an hour looking around and finally realized that it wasn't going to get any better than this.
