'Get It Done'

Spike's Bitches 29: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

What is even happening?

Yay, Emily!

billytea, do we get to know what the present is? Does Bec lurk? Would it spoil the surprise?

Oooh, coffee! That's what I don't have yet. Soooo nice to sleep in on a Friday and slounge around. Particularly since it's still gray and threatening to rain here. I'm in my jammies with my oh-so-comfy Bitch blanket, AIFG!!! Emily and I rock!

However, if I want coffee, I'm really going to have to get up and do something about that. Darn.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I caught up with an old friend from college last night. Her husband is now the lead urban planner for Lower Manhattan. They found an apartment in Tribeca (I tremble at the thought of the rent they're paying) and she's working on selling their house in D.C. I'm completely excited for them and REALLY want to visit them in NYC--sadly this won't be happening soon.

Then there was a 2 a.m. wake up call from Mr. Snottie Nose due to the freak-ass thunderstorms we had last night and he and I spent a few hours in the guest bed. The girl is gunning for three straight nights of solid 8 hour sleeping.

Aw, Suzi, you need to convince your company to give everyone Good Friday off. We only started getting it 3 or 4 years ago and I'm entirely convinced it was due to the efforts of our FAC contingent at work. Enough of them work in HR that they managed to push it through.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

1. Roomba!
2. No!
3. Yes!

Ain't happening, Sail. The company is too big.

Plus, I've seen a pic of you Bitch Blanket (tm) and that alone is green-eye worthy.

Librarian Warlord

To everyone who has a day off, I hope it's a grand one. I'm definitely not jealous, no sir-ree.

I am sorry I missed Spidra's performance, but we went to a seder at a friend's house, and ate well.

I want a Roomba. And a Laundryba. And a Dishesba.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

I have a CleaningLadyba, but she's not all that.

Also, I have the day off. But that's 'cause it's the first day of the weekend here. But it's a 3 Day weekend, which is nice.

My flatmate has gone to England for a fortnight.

...I miss her. Indeed, I feel slightly bereft. I'm afraid I may actually pine when we go our seperate ways. Mostly I'm not so much with the pining, but we are practically married. Seriously. 2 years cohabiting, socialising together pretty much constantly, working together...we've had only 2 rows, as such, in 3 years of friendship, and our former employer thought we were Big Gay Lesbian Type lovers and proclaimed it to the whole school (because he has great social skills).

I'm just realising that this really is going to feel like a breakup. Shit. I'm out of the habit of being single, and I don't think I'd even realised it until just now. We're slashier than John and Rodney. We even have a shared cat - I mean, he's technically mine, but she's better with him, and he loves her best.

Well, crap.

I'm really going to fucking miss her.
