It worked, mostly, except that when I just wasn't there she got all paranoid.
This is why I could never have such a code. call waiting feeds my paranoia enough, thank you very much.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Gudanov, this frickin counseling ever give you a chance to vent? I mean does anyone ever consider that the other person may have occassionally done something wrong?
It's time for my annual post of Single-Gal Wonderment.
Chatty!co-worker talks to his wife on the phone AT LEAST twice a day, every day. Sometimes he calls her, sometimes she calls him -- they mix it up.
Every day? Twice a day? What do they have to talk about when they get home?
Married/en-coupled folk, I've asked this before, but I can't remember your answers -- is this typical? Or calling even once a day during the work day?
I have no frame of reference, except that I witness the twice-daily (or more) phone calls of Chatty and Mrs. Chatty, and it boggles my mind.
I'm trying to make it into something sweet and romantic -- like, "I can't go 8 hours without talking to you!" Which I *could* actually understand if it happened maybe once a week. But -- every day?
Input, if you please.
Sometimes he calls her, sometimes she calls him -- they mix it up.
They're just trying to keep you guessing.
Seriously, wow. I couldn't talk on the phone twice a day (everyday!) with even my dearest of friends. And I don't even live with them.
Seems like a lot, if it's not "oops. Forgot to tell you to bring bread home, too." Maybe she's Chatty, too?

Yes. Well, okay, we've switched to e-mail instead of phone calls mostly, but that's because I share an office. We usually call to see how the other one is doing (especially in the case of one of us having a gronktastic and/or bad morning).
My loathing of all things telephone is well known, but E and I do email back and forth pretty constantly.
Tep, Hec and I are apparently not Chatty. We talk/email a lot when there's something moderately complicated that needs scheduling or coordinating, we'll occasionally call or email to make plans for a post-work drink or movie date, and we'll sometimes vent about assheads, -hats or -holes at work, but other than that, not much.
However, this is probably my fault. I really don't like the phone as a vehicle for the transmission of anything but information, and there've only been maybe two people in my entire life whom I was ever comfortable with just calling up to chat for chatting's sake. Multiple Buffistas are no doubt willing to testify, even in court, that Hec is a very happy Chatty McTalkypants on the phone.
ION, I am wondering exactly the same thing Typo Boy is wondering about Gud's counseling.
And unrelatedly, my stomach hurts and I can't get "Hard out here for a pimp" out of my head. Can I go home?
I talk twice a day and sometimes more with the BF, in short phone calls. He's asleep when I leave, so first it's how did you sleep and a report on the dog's walk (how she, um, produced determines if he needs to take her out). Later in the afternoon, it's hello and how is your day going. Truly, mostly we sing lines from songs and/or quote TV or movie lines at each other.
