See, I'd like to insert a third option: coffee.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Beer.
everyone gets to see the mess I am making packing up my current place
I'm guessing that you haven't started packing the books yet, right?
I take it Perkins has arrived at Suzi's.
Nope. not at all. Never near the place.
Nah (to coffee). It's sunny here and I slept in. Plus, I have no milk or cream for the coffee. So, the coffee is all yours, Kristin!
I'm leaning lemonade because it's sunny and not yet noon here.
ed. for clarification, I hope.
I'm guessing that you haven't started packing the books yet, right?
Not unless you count all the ones that never got unpacked. I did just bag up a bunch to be donated.
Mmmmm, all your coffee are belong to me.
mwahaha! Ginger is at the computer! Expect a lovely email from me soon!
Beer soon- I'm at 11 pages. well, I'm on the 11th page. barely.
Anything for you, Kristin. Or, anyway, all my coffee today.
libkitty, I realized some other online acquaintances of mine must live in the same city you do when them mentioned a church burning. They had some pictures of it. For some reason, when people mention living in AK, I always think of them living at least as far north as Anchorage...
I never really used to think of Juneau as Alaska when I lived farther north either, Spidra. Kind of funny considering I lived in Sitka for a while as a kid, which is farther south.
There are a lot of pictures of the fire online. Some really good photographers were there when it was fully engulfed, although I don't know whether or not I'm really glad for those pictures. In a way it gives closure, but in a way it's harder. I imagine I'll be glad for the pictures in the future.
I'm just glad that the congregation really seems able to move forward and the community (local and beyond) is being so supportive. This really is a learning and growing experience, although not a path towards enlightenment that I would recommend!
Does your friend attend church there?
