Hey! What do you two think you're doing? Fightin' at a time like this. You'll use up all the air!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

You can mix Advil with Tylenol.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I'm going to have to pick up some Tylenol to try that out with. And maybe rummage to see what combos I have with Tylenol in the mix.

It's just annoying.

But, yes, a cocktail might be the key for snapping it back to working for me.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Happy birthday to Stephanie!

~ma for Olivia, vw, ... and to various Mom's and MiLs, who-all I'm spacing out on at the moment.

Yay for alll the lovely visits had and expected.

I'm very weary right now. Long day at work, long convo with my sister about our mom and butt-wipey brothers before work, short walk with Daniel after work on sore feet.

Timelies!

Cass, I hope you're getting some sleep.

Laura, FREA-KY! I can't believe the doctor did that. And I'm so glad your MIL is ok.

Suzi! Go you for getting so much accomplished after such a shitty day! Hope today is better, love.

Our wings are not tired.

Hi vw.

Back at it. My Miami customer has already called me this morning since I never got back there last night. Blah. Off and running. It promises to be another long day.

We named this thread right.

Hey, Laura!

The Today Show is about to profile the asthma medication I'm on...as a "killer." Maybe it's time to turn the tv off.

What is even happening?

Whoa, Laura. Overall, I'd say if possible, it's time for your m-i-l to find a new doctor who might actually care what happens to her. She's 61, and active, and he's ready to tell her to essentially sit her ass down for the rest of her life?

She saw another doctor in the same office and he told her she might be having TIAs (stroke) and she should go to the ER. He never asked if she was alone, she was. He never asked how she might get there, she drove. If he thought she was having a stroke why would he let her drive to the ER alone. Grrrrrr
THIS is scary. What if she was having TIAs and crashed the car?
Our theory is that he was busy and just pushing her off as someone else's problem. After chest x-ray, brain scan, blood tests, chest ct, etc. it is decided that she has vertigo. Scripts for something for the vertigo, and valium. She asked why they were giving her valium. In case she is anxious. Good grief. She won't bother to fill that one.
My theory is he is not a good doctor for your mother in law.

I'm glad she's okay. My aunt has vertigo, takes Antivert, and it does help. I hope your m-i-l's treatment works, too.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

vw, turn off the tv or turn on something completely mindless.
