I know how much you like your PCP, vw, but someone is covering for her. Call, tell the office your concerns, insist on seeing that someone. Remind them that yours is a complex case, and that whoever is taking the PCP's patients should READ YOUR FILE before you get there. When you have the name of the person who is covering, you might also give a call to your second favorite doctor, and have them call the sub, to tell them about the issues. I'm assuming that doctors find it harder to ignore other doctors than patients.
Spike's Bitches 29: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
The person covering for her isn't in her office. It's all very strange. I think I'm gonna try to get an appointment with one of the NPs, who at least know a little about what's going on.
ETA: Of course, the office staff are on lunch right now, so I won't be talking to anyone till after 2pm.
vw, good luck getting an appointment with someone.
I'd accuse you of being a taunter, Nicole, except...well, I just might join you on that walk. We're expecting a high of 60 today, whee! It's finally starting to feel like spring around here.
Oh, I'm definitely a taunter. Today we'll be in the 70 degree range. The warm weather and clear blue sky is still freaking me out a little but I don't get to taunt very often...
Also, any chance you'll be around the computer tonight, Sail?
I'm gonna go take a nap. I'll talk to you all later.
I am a bad friend. I just called a friend in CA who I haven't spoken to in a while. She has breast cancer, and I had no idea. It sounds like she is doing well on treatment, but I will take any ~ma that you can spare for her.
Happy Birthday, Stephanie!!
I talked to the pediatrician today. He fell over himself apologizing for the mix up. He really didn't think his office would be that quick about scheduling and contacting me and he though he'd have time to be the first to call me. That being said, he also said the reason he wants to do the test on Olivia is because there could be a constriction of her airway. Granted, if there is, it's probably not severe but he wants to rule it out as a possibility.
So I'm down with that. She'll get her barium in a bottle, not a tube, though. He said I will be there the whole time, but I'm still pretty terrified that they'll have to restrain her. It will suck but it will most likely stress me out more than her.
I'm just hoping we can rule out anything that needs medical intervention and just wait for her to outgrow this thing and leave it at that.
Oh, sj. Geeez.
Mom just called. Lab work is done and now she is getting a pedicure. Gah. Stubborn ole woman.
Meanwhile, my right shoulder is so tight, I have to stop work every 15 minutes to get it to loosen up some. This is pitiful.
nope , not my birthday until the 18th ( a snow day) - but Raq said her birthday was the same day
