She sounds darling. You should send me a long e-mail telling me every little thing.
'Shells'
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Good point! I'll get right on that. How are you, meanwhile?
I'm pretty good myself, actually. Work is going well. And stuff.
Oh! It's the end, isn't it?
Hi, there. Um. I skimmed, some. I skipped an awful lot, too.
But I know that Jen's finished (at least for now) with her treatments, and that Cash's doctor is a presumptuous asshat with the bedside manner of a stainless steel spork, and that vw is getting better and that the Mom of Bug had good news today, and that, um, other stuff happened.
I cut all my hair off. Again. It was chin length and I was tired of dealing, so I just went in Friday before last and said inch and a half. All over. She didn't quite believe me, so I'm going in again this Friday, now that you can see the shape it needs to be. More shorter!
I had a faaabulous time at Weymouth last week, enjoyed being semi-isolated and got some writing done, and dashed home in time to make my mammo appointment. Got the news back, all clear, and word on the blood work I had done before I left: the cholesterol and the lipids and the bad DL (never can remember if the good is high or low)--down 60ish points, from 245 to 180, and the other readings down as well. Blood sugar is stubbornly stuck at pre-diabetic though, so I have to lumber into action to try and get that down, since I really can't do any more by diet alone.
So that's me. And I'm sorry that it's raining so steadily and so much in NorCal. Yeah, that Global Warming stuff is clearly a mythology perpetrated by the environmentalist cults.
Hi, Bev!!! It sounds like you have been busy. Good luck with getting your blood sugar down.
I just got back from my first rollerskating class at the funky old roller rink not far from here. It was great fun, really helpful and I am going again!
I live in a world war II-era house and I'm not at all sure the wiring has ever been upgraded. I buy the three-prong converter doodads in bulk and then lalalalalaICAN'THEARYOU about the rest.
ah, college. I live in an apartment that has one phone jack, one outlet in the kitchen and one plug in the bathroom (meaning you can only plug in one thing at a time, so you couldn't say, turn your curling iron on while you blew your hair dry). I feel you.
You have a plug in the bathroom? DUDE.
Yeah, we had the cloth-covered wiring and one outlet per wall when we moved in here, too. And no, you couldn't make coffee and toast at the same time. Heaven forfend anybody should want to dry their hair when toast or coffee was being made. And the AC unit in the bedroom window, the refrigerator in the kitchen and the tv in the living room were all on the same circuit, so you had to be sure to only run the AC or the tv, because if the fridge motor kicked in, it was a trip to the basement for somebody to trip the circuit breaker.
H has rewired almost the whole house now. Though the plumbing still sucks.
sj! Congrats on the apartment. But I'm overcome with disappointment you and Dave will be skipping the F2F. I understand--and even approve of--your reasons. But still, I was looking forward to seeing you again and meeting him.
Thanks! I'm dissapointed too. There are so many people I wanted to meet in person or see again (especially you).
